INTRO TO STEEL PAN
​
This is an 8-week program, geared towards students 11+ y.o. who are new to the steel pan. No prior music experience is needed!
During this program, you will learn about the culture and history of the instrument, how to care for and handle instruments, technique, and play beginner level music.​
​
This program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7pm.
**Our July session is currently full, but don't wait to register for our next session which begins August 7th.
ADVANCED BAND
​
​The Advanced Band is a high-level and energy large ensemble for seasoned steel pan players. This band will play advanced arrangements, Panorama arrangements, and perform in a concert.
​
The Advanced Band currently meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm.
BEGINNER BAND
​​​
The Beginner Band is geared towards students 11+ y.o. who have prior experience playing the steel pan. This band will play several arrangements of soca and calypso music, and perform in a concert.
​
Participation in Intro to Steel Pan program recommended before joining the Beginner Band.
​
The Beginner Band will begin meeting in August. Don't wait to sign up to reserve a spot.
STAGE-SIDE
​
​The Stage-Side program is a smaller band that plays out at community events and performances. This band performs frequently and learns music at a quick pace. Students in this ensemble will represent the organization through community engagement performances.
​
Participation in the Stage-Side band requires an audition.
